The Royal Academy of Dance Australia seeks an outstanding Regional Manager to join our busy exams and student events team.
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) is a global leader in dance education and teaching, driving excellence in the development of dance worldwide. The RAD’s renowned classical ballet examination syllabus is taught to thousands of young people in Australia and worldwide, with over 20,000 students per year undertaking exams across Australia. With an established network of almost 1,400 registered teachers and members, the RAD is a strong and vibrant community of dance professionals committed to providing the very best dance education and teaching in the country and globally.
About the role
The Regional Manager SA & WA is a critical role overseeing the delivery of RAD exams and student events across two key regions, and ensuring the development and maintenance of a strong, engaged and active RAD membership. You will be responsible for the management and administration of ballet exam tours, student competitions and courses, and other activities within South Australia and Western Australia. You will work with the National Director, National Examinations Manager, as well as a network of Regional Managers, freelance and event staff, and volunteers to deliver activities to the highest standard. Externally you will liaise and work collaboratively with teachers, examiners, Regional Advisory Panels and other key stakeholders to meet student and teacher needs and grow participation and engagement.
Our ideal candidate will have strong experience in project management and administration, within an arts, member or not-for-profit setting. To succeed in this role you will be an energetic and well-organised person with a customer-service focus. You will have exceptional attention to detail and time-management skills and will be accustomed to managing multiple projects and activities simultaneously. You will have strong communication skills and experience dealing with a broad range of stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.
You will be located in either Adelaide or Perth and comfortable with a home-based work environment. This role requires some work out of hours, including weekends and travel within South Australia and Western Australia as well as to other states on occasion.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must have existing Australian work rights. Persons undertaking this role will require a Working with Children Check and may be subject to a National Police Check.
