Perth and Peel will be released from lockdown at midnight tonight as restrictions are introduced.
The Western Australia Government have announced that residents of the Perth and Peel regions will be released from lockdown at midnight on Friday 2 July but restrictions will be in place until midnight on Monday 12 July.
For 2 days from 12.01am Saturday 3 July to 12.01am Tuesday 6 July dance studios will be able to reopen subject to a 1 person per 4 square metres rule with a maximum of 20 people per venue. No group classes are allowed.
Then from 12.01am Tuesday 6 July to 12.01am on Monday 12 July that capacity will increase to 1 person per 2 square metres with a maximum of 150 per venue. There is no comment at the time of writing whether group classes can resume.
We are monitoring the Government website and will bring updates regarding restrictions as soon as they are available.
UPDATE on Monday 5 July 2021:
The Government updated its announcement for further easing of restrictions from 12.01am Tuesday 6 July to 12.01am on Monday 12 July to confirm the capacity for venues will increase to 1 person per 2 square metres with a maximum of 150 per venue and group classes are permitted to return. Masks must be worn unless in vigorous exercise.
