Two Queensland teachers receive a special honour

Earlier this year RAD Australia had the pleasure of bestowing two special honours on longstanding RAD Registered Teachers and Members during the Queensland Regional Advisory Panel Annual General Meeting.

Queensland teachers Valerie Bayley and Prue Bowen (posthumously) were awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Academy of Dance (FRAD) by Chief Executive Luke Rittner accompanied by Rebecca Taylor RAD Australia National Director. Daughter Giulietta Biraghi and husband Richard Lennon were there to accept the award on behalf of Prue Bowen who sadly passed away in 2019.

Graduate Presentations

Also during the AGM the Panel recognised graduates from both the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) and the first Queensland based graduates of the Professional Dancers’ Postgraduate Teaching Certificate here in Australia. Congratulations to all those who now start their careers as RAD Registered Teachers.
