COVID-19 Exams update

Due to COVID-19 all live examinations (i.e. with Examiners in attendance) worldwide in 2020 were postponed.

RAD Australia postponed all live exam sessions from May until 1 September and rescheduled them to later in the year. See the tables here for dates. Teachers will be advised when each session is open for entries.

Students also have the option to participate in Video AEC exams during any session and teachers have been provided with guidelines and information regarding this option.

Those who have already entered into exams for postponed sessions who do not want to reschedule or participate in video exams have the option to withdraw and receive a full refund minus 10% admin fee.

We have put together some helpful Frequently Asked Questions and Answers for Exams in 2020 in response to feedback from Teachers at this time which you may find useful.

Exam preparation information for teachers in 2020.

As teachers globally prepare to return to the studio RAD headquarters have put together guidelines for RAD teachers to help with the planning and preparation of examinations over the next few months. This includes adaptations to the format of some examinations as well as suggestions for managing social distancing in alignment with UK government guidelines. These adaptations apply until March 2021. Find out more here.

Guidance for teachers to host COVIDSafe AEC Exams

Dance studio owners and teachers entering students for AEC exams must ensure they have a COVID Safety Plan, risk assessment or similar plan in place, in line with state government requirements. Teachers holding RAD exams in their studio are required to ensure all COVID-19 risks are identified and managed and that Government health advice is followed at all times, as well as ensuring normal child safety policies and procedures are in place.
