Kathleen Gorham Awards 2022 winners announced

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic it has been three years since vocational students in Victoria have had the opportunity to perform at the Kathleen Gorham Awards. This past weekend, however, they demonstrated that their commitment to ballet and their hard work and dedication to their ongoing training throughout the pandemic had paid off. For vocational students, the disruption to their dance education has been particularly tough but their performances at the Awards demonstrated the excellent work of both the students and their teachers in returning to peak performance standard.

The Awards were adjudicated by special guests Kevin Jackson, former Principal Artist from The Australian Ballet, Hilary Kaplan, revered RAD Examiner, tutor, and Registered Teacher, and special guests Diana Hammond and Audrey Nicholls.

We'd like to congratulate all the students and their teachers who took the time to prepare for this event and say well done to all our winners. Sincere thanks to all our volunteers, particularly those who stepped in at the last minute, and our tireless and Event Coordinator Franco Leo who worked so hard to make the event seamless and enjoyable for all concerned.  A big thank you to our sponsors Bloch, Energetiks, Capezio, and The Australian Ballet.
