Kathleen Gorham Memorial Awards 2023
RAD Australia is pleased to present the Kathleen Gorham Memorial Awards 2023, which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. Kathleen Gorham was a dedicated Australian ballerina and a compelling, inspirational teacher. Her knowledge and expertise were given openly, containing a fiery passion that only true artists possess.
Her untimely passing in 1983 was mourned by ballet lovers, students and professionals, and to recognize her enormous contribution to dance in Australia, the RAD Victorian Tasmanian Advisory Panel founded the Kathleen Gorham Scholarship. This has now become an annual event to encourage and promote young, focused Victorian RAD trained dancers.
