Jacqueline Morland Awards 2021

Please note RAD Australia’s 2020 student events programme up to the end of September 2020 was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Australia. We are pleased to have rescheduled this event for new dates in 2021.

Join us for the 25th Anniversary of the Jacqueline Morland Awards in Brisbane. Our flagship event in the region the JMA’s give students the opportunity to perform or compete in the awards.  We are delighted to have guest adjudicators Vikki Attard and Damian Smith judge the awards in 2021. And we welcome guest faculty Nicole Galea and Adam Blanch. The choreographers for this year’s dance performance items are Marcus Pearce for jazz, Julie Ann Byster for classical, Jo Gordon for contemporary and Miranda Zeller for Lyrical



In recognition of the RAD’s global centenary we will be adding a Centenary Medal to our awards in 2021. There are 2 levels – Junior and Senior and each level will be capped at 50 students per level.

Please note all students must have also entered the Jacqueline Morland Awards 2021 to be eligible to enter for the Centenary Medal and abide by all the conditions of entry for the Jacqueline Morland Awards.

The Centenary Medal preliminaries will be held on the evening of Friday 26 March 2021.

Who can attend?

Important Information regarding COVID-19

In light of the current situation with COVID-19, RAD Australia is monitoring government advice and notifications.

The RAD requests any participants or teachers who have been in the vicinity of any person or place associated with cases of COVID-19, and those recently returning from high-risk areas to please notify RAD Australia immediately. If you are feeling unwell or displaying symptoms you should not attend.

Should we experience a significant number of withdrawals from this or any event, we may reconsider proceeding with the event. In the event of any cancellation due to COVID-19 entries will be refunded.

As this situation unfolds in Australia we will continue to work with our global colleagues to respond to changes in advice as they happen.
