CPD Fuelling the Dancer (Online)

This 1-hour interactive webinar is designed to equip and empower dance teachers with the knowledge to support dance students to engage in healthful eating practices, that nurtures positive body image and self-care. 

The aims of this webinar are to: 

  • Equip dance teachers with evidence-based dance nutrition principles 
  • Support dance teachers be a positive role model for their dance students regarding relationship with food and eating 
  • Equip dance teachers with knowledge of RED-S and skills to detect early warning signs of under fuelling 

 On completion of the webinar, you will: 

  • Understand the core principles of dance nutrition 
  • Understand RED-S, its signs and symptoms, and strategies for prevention and treatment 
  • Understand how flexible and healthful eating pattern is developed  
  • Know how to spot ineffective, harmful, dieting messages 
  • Know how to communicate motivating, encouraging, and compassionate nutrition and health-related messages to students and dancers

Includes a presentation, question-and-answer sessions, breakout rooms and opportunities to share your experiences with fellow teachers from around the world.
