CPD First Aid for Dancers, Dance Teachers & Studio Owners (Brisbane)
Australia’s first nationally accredited dancer-specific first aid course, with content related specifically to the dancer, dance teacher or studio owner.
This course aims to provide dancers, dance teachers and studio owners with essential first aid skills and techniques for safeguarding within the studio.
Format: Blended – online learning followed by in-person practical assessment

Content includes:
- Resuscitation
- Trauma
- Medical
- Dance specifics
- Minor incidents and environment
- Envenomation and poisoning
- Legal, workplace and community considerations
On completion of the course, participants will receive:
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
First Aid certificates are valid for 3 years. CPR should be renewed every 12 months.
CPR only refresher courses can also be booked through the same link.

Required preparation
Online learning content must be completed before attending the in-person practical assessment. Please allow approximately 3 hours for the full course and 30 minutes for CPR only to complete the online content.
Required resources
- Comfortable clothing for moving
- Computer/laptop/tablet with internet connection to complete the online learning content
