CPD Addressing Reduced Facility in Adolescents (Online)
This one-hour webinar will discuss the physical and physiological changes during adolescence which may contribute to reduced facility, such as turnout and flexibility. The webinar will provide participants with foundational knowledge and help build confidence to guide adolescent dancers through this period.
The aims of this workshop are to:
- Understand the physical and physiological changes during adolescence which may contribute to reduced facility
- Understand the fascial system
- Equip participants with suggestions for improving facility in adolescent dancers
On completion of this workshop, participants will:
- Have an enhanced understanding of the contributors to reduced facility in adolescent dancers
- Have an increased awareness of the contribution of the fascial system in reduced flexibility
- Have increased confidence to provide advice and guidance to adolescent dancers
- Have gained knowledge of warm-up tasks which can be incorporated into class accessing both the neuro-musculo-skeletal system and the fascial system
Format:
Live webinar via Zoom
Includes a presentation and question-and-answer sessions. Participation in practical elements is encouraged but not essential.
