Boys Only! Masterclasses - QLD
#RADProjectB presents Boys Only! Masterclasses in contemporary and ballet taught by an all male faculty – Tama Barry and Gareth Belling.
Tama Barry – Contemporary
Tama began his training at Ecole Classique in Sydney under Prudence Bowen, followed by the Australian Ballet School before taking a contract with Queensland Ballet in 1999. He was promoted to soloist in 2002. In 2006 he became a Soloist with Scottish Ballet and was promoted to Principal artist in 2008. Since retiring, Tama has worked with both
professional and pre-professional dancers. He has coached rehearsals and classes for Queensland Ballet and Scottish Ballet, as well as providing talks and outreach dance
programs with the Scottish Ballet education department and Dancers Career Development.
Gareth Belling – Ballet
Gareth Belling is Resident Choreographer of Collusion Music and Dance Ensemble, having collaborated with this exciting group of chamber musicians on two evening-length, and many shorter ballets since 2005. He has also created works for Queensland Ballet, Expressions Dance Company, Ochre Contemporary Dance Company, Queensland University of Technology and WAAPA. Gareth danced with Queensland Ballet from 2002 to 2012, and continues to perform as a freelance artist, most recently with Odyssey Dance Theatre, Singapore and Collusion’s Turbine
